Edison High senior quarterback Matt Viles threw for a school single-game record 486 yards Thursday night as the Chargers won at Dana Hills, 34-17.

Viles was 25 of 39, throwing three touchdowns and one interception. His 486 yards tops the previous school record of 398 yards, set by J. Gingrich in 1990.

Jeff Trojan had 12 catches for 201 yards and a touchdown for Edison (3-0), ranked No. 3 in the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division. The aerial attack helped the Chargers rally from a halftime deficit.
