NEWPORT BEACH — The Sea Kings built an 11-1 lead after two rounds and then made sure all their seniors played in the Battle of the Bay Thursday at Newport Harbor.

Kelli Feeley, Azadeh Nazemi, Hailey Hogan, Elizabeth Murray, Elizabeth Nguyen, Michelle Marshall and Kate Duddy were all seniors who came away with victories for CdM (2-1).

Samantha Stalder, who plays at No. 1 singles, won two sets for the Sailors (2-2).

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Ashley Peters shot five-over-par 41 to earn medalist honors for the Eagles in the nonleague match at Mile Square Golf Course Thursday.

SAN CLEMENTE — Lightning senior Amy Babbush shot 13-over-par 49 to earn medalist honors in the nonleague match at Bella Collina Towne & Golf Club Thursday.

Sophomore Erin Hong shot 50 for Sage Hill (0-3).

Dana Hills wins tiebreaker

NEWPORT BEACH — Amanda Johnson, Ashley Varner and Grace Kim each shot seven-over-par 42 in the nonleague match at Newport Beach Country Club Thursday.

Dana Hills won with its sixth player score, 50, as CdM’s sixth shot 56.

Tess Crane (45) and Caitlin Shinora (48) also scored for the Sea Kings. Dana Hills’ Samantha Sullivan was the medalist after shooting 38.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Tri-Cities Tournament

ONTARIO — Amy Hartwell recorded 22 kills combined in two victories for Estancia High at Ontario High Thursday.

The Eagles (3-1) defeated Webb, 25-15, 25-18, 25-10, and then beat Chaffey, 25-24, 25-6, 25-18.

Amanda Watson led Estancia with 41 total digs, while Shona Lamb led the team in assists with 44 in the two matches.
