Creepy, crawling snakes, sneaky alligators and other reptiles are coming to play at the Huntington Beach Central Library for “Our Big Backyard†on Wednesday.
The show will feature animals native to North America, including the rosy boa, the western hognose snake and the endangered desert tortoise.
“They will bring in animals that are in [the kids’] backyard,†Senior Librarian Mary-Pat Gonzalez said. “It’s fun, but there’s also some education going on.â€
The show is put on by Wild Wonders and will give kids the chance to interact and handle some exotic animals. Gonzalez said she recommended the presentation for children aged 3 and older, but everyone is welcome.
Advanced ticket purchase is recommended as the 11 a.m. show is already sold out, Gonzalez said. Tickets are still available for the 1 p.m. show for $4 in the Tabby Storytime Theater. For more information, call (714) 375-5107.
