Christ Lutheran ties Andersen

Daily Pilot Cup silver division girls’ fith- and sixth-grade game

The Christ Lutheran girls sixth grade team battled Andersen to a 1-1 tie in a hard fought silver division game.

Emma Griffith delivered a perfect pass to Catrell Robertson to account for Christ Lutheran’s only goal.

Stephanie Willett played superbly in goal in the first half and made several excellent saves. Lauren Cocoft, Savannah Lopez, and Olivia Zollman played tough in the middle, turning away Andersen attacks and getting the ball to the offense.

Carolyn Brandt consistently moved the ball up the field getting involved in several scoring opportunities. Tatiana Tudacan, Emily Pavlik and Eliza Jason proved to be a formidable defense in the second half, keeping the ball away from the goal.

Amanda Buhl did a fanatastic job in goal, making several excellent saves and holding Andersen scoreless in the 2nd half.
