Newport Aquatic Center Junior Rowing are the Southwest Regional Regatta Champions

Newport Aquatic Center Junior Rowing is the Southwest Regional Regatta champion.
This past weekend, the Newport Aquatic Center competed in the Southwest Regional Regatta at Lake Natoma in Sacramento and took home gold as well as the High-Point Team Trophy. The Newport Aquatic Center is the best Rowing Team in the State of California and this weekend they took home the hardware to prove it. Several of the key Newport Aquatic Center rowers and coxswains attend Corona del Mar High.
The NAC junior boys’ team won Gold in the following events: Varsity 8+, Lightweight 8+, JV 8+, Novice 8+ B, Novice 4+A
The junior boys’ team took home silver in the following events: Novice 8+A, Freshmen 4+
The junior boys’ team took home bronze in the following event: Lightweight 4+
The junior girls team won gold in the following event: Freshmen 4+
The junior girls’ team won bronze in the following event: Lightweight 8+
The following rowers and coxswains attend Corona del Mar High:
Varsity Boys: Morgan Boman, Kevin Cox, Michael Delahantey, Zach Hyter, Ashton Meginnis, Alexa Moss, Per-Erik Voegt
Novice Boys: Nico Beyrooty, Austin Blodgett, John Cazort, Ali Deverian, Quinn Kawata, Cheyne Kelley, Marshall Quackenbush, Ryan Rolfes, Zachary Salaam, Michael Bui
Varsity Girls: Cynthia Bui, Katie Murai, Brigitte Ngo
Novice Girls: Montana Morrison, Megan Richter, Brianna Ngo
These teams qualified and are invited to compete at nationals in Cincinnati, Ohio June 10-14.

• Kevin Cox --Princeton University
• Shaye Bastien -- Duke University
• Brigitte Ngo -- University of California, San Diego
