Six locals named to all-star football roster of seniors

The South roster has been released for the 50th annual Brea Lions Orange County North-South Prep All-Star Football Game, and it includes six players from the Huntington Beach/Fountain Valley area.

Offensive linemen Andy Palacios of Fountain Valley High (6 feet, 245 pounds) and Bryce Brantley of Edison (6-2, 225) were the lone offensive players selected.

On the defensive end, linemen Will Andrew of Edison (6-2, 220) and Awwad Yasin of Fountain Valley (5-11, 180) were named, as were linebackers Artie O’Keefe of Fountain Valley (5-11, 185) and Matt Reza of Edison (6-0, 190).

The game is scheduled for July 10 at Orange Coast College.
