Caller reports elderly woman yelling
Someone told police an elderly woman in an undisclosed location threw tools and poles at children, yelling “I only have an hour to live,†at 1:31 p.m. Sunday. When police went to the woman’s house, she yelled at them through her screen door, but otherwise seemed well.

Bayview Drive: A woman said her friend was assaulted the previous night in the 16700 block at 2:50 a.m. Sunday.
Hammon Lane: A caller said her car was vandalized with shaving cream in the 14300 block at 6:17 a.m. Sunday.
Goldenwest Street: A fight occurred over a parking space in the 15700 block at 9:28 a.m. Sunday.
La Mancha Circle: A caller said their Audi’s window was broken, with a wallet stolen, in the 4200 block at 11:22 a.m. Sunday.
Warner Avenue: A juvenile was seen putting stickers on a McDonald’s sign and then taking pictures of it in the 5000 block at 11:26 a.m. Sunday. Police made the teen take the stickers off, took him home and explained what happened to his mother.
Beach Boulevard at Edinger Avenue: A male driver was seen grabbing a female passenger by the throat at 3:23 p.m. Sunday.
Harold Place: A caller reported several separate thefts, including a coin collection, in the 5400 block at 4:53 p.m. Sunday.

Maryport Drive: About a dozen people were seen fighting in the 5500 block at 1:09 a.m. Sunday.
Edinger Avenue: A woman claimed she was dragged out of a Costa Mesa club in a chokehold in the 8400 block at 1:29 a.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard: A woman who was waiting for her prescription outside a drug store had her wallet stolen by people who began using her credit card throughout the area in the 17500 block early Sunday.
Speer Avenue at Crabb Lane: A stolen vehicle that had just been recovered was apparently re-stolen by the suspects, who still had its keys, at 10:32 a.m. Sunday.
Flower Lane: A resident tried to sell a watch on the Internet and reported that the transaction was canceled without their consent in the 17400 block at 11:36 a.m. Sunday.
Slater Avenue: Juveniles were seen trespassing in an apartment complex’s laundry room and drinking alcohol in the 7600 block at 2:24 p.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard: Two juveniles were caught climbing on top of commercial buildings and walking around on their roofs in the 17700 block at 2:54 p.m. Sunday.
Talbert Avenue: More than a dozen people were seen fighting in the 7300 block at 5:21 p.m. Sunday.

Constantine Drive: A catalytic converter was discovered stolen from an SUV in the 8200 block at 9:26 a.m. Sunday. A second converter was found stolen from a pickup truck in the 18500 block of Beach Boulevard at 3:10 p.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard at Garfield Avenue: Two teenage males were seen throwing bottles of soda at passing vehicles at 12:04 p.m. Sunday.
Pacific Coast Highway: A surf store employee said their co-worker drank a blue energy drink two days ago and has been “flipping out†and shaking ever since in the 21500 block at 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
Pacific Coast Highway at 16th Street: A caller said a woman who was driving “like a crazy person†all the way from Long Beach drove over a center divider and blew out two tires at 4:39 p.m. Sunday.

Adams Avenue: A man was seen twisting a woman’s arm in the 9000 block at 1:57 a.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard at Atlanta Avenue: A cab driver asked police to arrest a man who tried to pay $5 for a $27 cab fare at 2:54 a.m. Sunday. Police convinced the man to pay his whole fare.
Madeline Drive: A caller said someone tried to break into their house through a window, then told the caller that their son “told them to break in,†in the 9000 block at 4:03 a.m. Sunday. The caller has no son; police arrested the man for attempted burglary.
Magnolia Street: A caller complained that someone left their dog in a locked vehicle in the 19100 block at 12:06 p.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard at Atlanta Avenue: A woman was seen driving with one infant in her front seat and another in her back seat at 2:37 p.m. Sunday. Both infants had seat belts on, but neither was in a car seat. Police were unable to locate the woman.
Windlass Drive: A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 8500 block at 3:14 p.m. Sunday.
Doncaster Drive: A caller said juveniles were out “circling and terrorizing and intimidating†her in the 8400 block at 5:46 p.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street: A taxi minivan driver drove away from a gas station with the pump still inserted into his vehicle in the 21400 block at 6:46 p.m. Sunday.

La Paloma Avenue at Magnolia Street: Vandalism was reported at 5:48 p.m. Sunday.
Bandilier Circle: Vandalism was reported in the 18400 block at 6:36 p.m. Sunday.

Slater Avenue: Auto tampering was reported in the 11200 block at 1:05 p.m. Monday.
Newhope Street: Commercial burglary was reported from a business in the 17800 block at 2:23 a.m. Monday.
