Police are seeking witnesses of a traffic collision that left two local men in critical condition.

The accident occurred about 11:18 a.m. Tuesday at Warner Avenue and Newland Street.

Ohannes Yaghjian, 83, of Huntington Beach, and Thomas Jepeway, 56, of Fountain Valley, suffered critical injuries and were hospitalized at UCI Medical Center, police said.

Preliminary findings indicate a Honda sedan eastbound collided with a Toyota pickup truck going northbound in the intersection; the vehicles then were propelled into four other vehicles, police said. Investigators don’t believe the accident was alcohol-related.
