RESTAURANT ROUNDUP:
Costa Mesa-based Beach Pit BBQ recently re-upped its contract for another five years with the Los Angeles Angels to remain at the stadium. And now it’ll be easier to get some barbecue at the game as the company expands its stands from two to five.
The three new spots are behind home plate on the “View Level,†near left field behind the rock pile and just inside the third-base gate. There you can order up some spare ribs, quartered-chicken, baked beans and blueberry corn bread while rooting the Halos on to another successful season.

Event to highlight Asian food, films
Kimera, Bayside and Bistango restaurants will participate in the 10th annual Newport Beach Film Festival, which starts April 23 and runs through April 30. Kimera of Irvine will host the “Asian Spotlight†event, which will feature Asian food and films, while Bayside of Newport Beach and Bistango of Irvine will help serve up the grub for the opening and closing ceremonies, respectively.
