Make sure you have a fresh set of batteries and your Easter egg basket ready, because Newport Beach’s fifth annual Flashlight Egg Hunt is coming up.

From 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bonita Creek Park, 3010 La Vida, kids 3 to 14 years old will go on a nighttime Easter egg hunt. The festivities will also include seasonal crafts, carnival games, bouncers and more.

Freckles the Bunny may even hop by for a visit.

Food and photos with the bunny will be on sale, with all proceeds from the night’s event benefiting the Newport Beach Youth Council.
