Fire department stands to get check for safety tools
Costa Mesa residents will get a $13,000 boost to their chances of preparing for an emergency, thanks to the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company.
The company, along with Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, will present a check to the Costa Mesa Fire Department on Friday for $12,919 to purchase equipment for the city’s Community Emergency Response Teams.
The money will also stretch into maintaining firefighting equipment, tools, forcible-entry training props and technical rescue equipment.
