Locally based school receives distinctive honor

Costa Mesa-based American Career College recently had one of its campuses honored as a “School of Distinction.”
The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology singled out American Career College’s Ontario campus for praise. The distinction makes it one of 21 schools to win the honor — and one of three in California.
“Recognition such as this energizes our staff and faculty to keep reaching higher,” said Al Nederhood, the director of the college’s Ontario campus. “As a result, our students grow, the employers who hire them prosper and the larger health-care community is enriched by the professionals trained at American Career College.”
The college trains professionals for the health-care industry, including nursing, dental assistants and pharmacy technicians.
