Suspects rob 7-Eleven, customer Tuesday

Newport Beach police are looking for two armed robbers who hit a 7-Eleven convenience store on West Balboa Boulevard Tuesday night.
Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, two men walked into the 7-Eleven at 20th Street and West Balboa Boulevard in Newport Beach and pulled guns on the store clerk and a customer inside. The men emptied the cash register and stole the customer’s wallet, along with cigarettes, magazines and beer.
Police described the first suspect as a 6-foot-tall Latino in his 20s with a thin build, wearing a gray sweat shirt, blue jeans and a dark bandanna over his nose and mouth. He was carrying a large blued steel revolver.
Police described the second robber as a 5-foot-6 Latino in his 20s wearing flannel, jeans and a bandanna over his nose and mouth. He was carrying a black handgun or revolver.
Police could not immediately release photos of the suspects from surveillance video or details on how much the men made off with.
