MISSION VIEJO — Freshman Laurent Minguez won in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles action in the Pirates’ Orange Empire Conference match Thursday.

Brad Fisher, an Estancia High graduate, won in No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles for OCC (7-2, 2-2 in conference).

IRVINE — Senior Heidi Kaloi won in No. 6 singles action during the Anteaters’ Big West Conference match Thursday.

UCI, ranked No. 27 in the country, dropped to 9-3, 4-1 in conference.

MISSION VIEJO — Sophomore Brittany Bass won in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles play in an Orange Empire Conference match Thursday, but the Pirates lost for the first time this season.

OCC is now 6-1, 4-1 in conference.

IRVINE — Junior first baseman Joshua Manzano went four for four with three runs batted and two doubles for the Lions in a Golden State Athletic Conference game Thursday.

Brett Siegmund went two for three with an RBI for Vanguard (3-10, 1-8 in conference).

Vanguard plays host to San Diego Christian in a doubleheader Saturday at 11 a.m.
