Crystal Coast Optometry Celebrates Grand Opening

Crystal Coast Optometry will celebrate its grand opening 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. The special evening will include a preview and private fitting of the 2009 Chanel eyewear collection and a tasting of fine wines from Hope Wine. This is a wonderful opportunity to try new styles of eyewear and see the latest designs. Crystal Coast Optometry is a new, cutting edge optometry practice in Crystal Cove Promenade that features the finest designer eyewear collection along the Newport Coast.

Crystal Coast Optometry provides comprehensive eye exams, contact lens services and LASIK, and accepts a variety of insurance plans including VSP, Eyemed and MES. Crystal Coast Optometry is composed of Drs. Allen Austin, Dat Do, and Loren Rude, who have collective experience of more than 25 years in optometry. Dr. Austin is an expert in complicated contact lens care and a member of the Volunteer Clinical Faculty of the Ophthalmology Department at UCI Medical Center where he is responsible for teaching contact lens fitting to ophthalmology residents. He was previously a Clinical Director at TLC Laser Eye Center, and is a member of American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association.

Dr. Rude is a member of American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association and International Society of Refractive Surgery. He is also the Clinical Director for ClearSight Laser Vision Centers. Dr. Do is a member of the American Academy of Optometry AAO, and regularly contributes to various AAO-sponsored eye care journals and presentations, and lectured in the area of co-management of refractive surgery, glaucoma and dry eye. Dr. Do was previously a Clinical Director at the TLC Laser Eye Center and a Clinical Instructor at Omni Eye Services.
