Blackout Night set at UCI

The UC Irvine men’s basketball game Wednesday against Big West Conference rival Cal State Northridge at 8 p.m. at the Bren Events Center, will feature the first “Blackout Night” promotion.
Fans are being asked to participate by wearing black to the game, which will be televised on ESPNU. The “Blackout” theme is inspired by the black shirts worn by the official UC Irvine student spirit group, Eater Nation.
In a special promotion, fans can get their own “Blackout Eater Nation” T-shirt and a general admission ticket to the game for $12.
To RSVP for the “Blackout Night” and pre-order a shirt, visit www.ucirvinesports.com and click on the “Blackout” button on the home page.
Through a partnership with UCI Fraternities and Sororities year-long philanthropy project “Songfest”, UCI Athletics will donate partial T-shirt proceeds to cancer research at the UCI Medical Center.
