Corona del Mar High senior Lucas Reynolds has committed to play water polo for UCLA, and fellow seniors Brian Schiefer and Carter Taylor have signed letters of intent to play at Long Beach State, Sea Kings’ Coach Barry O’Dea said.
Reynolds, an All-CIF Southern Section Division I second-team selection and an All-Pacific Coast League first-team honoree, was second on the team with 51 goals.
Schiefer, who was also a second-teamer for CIF Division I and a first-team pick for all-league, led the team with 60 steals and had 44 goals.
Taylor, who earned third-team All-CIF Division I and first-team All-PCL honors, was second on CdM in steals with 52.
The trio helped lead CdM to its 10th straight PCL title.
O’Dea also said the CdM 18-and-under club team won its flight of 22 teams at the Winterfest tournament this past weekend. CdM’s junior club team of 12-and-under players finished third at the tournament.
