High school students wanted for government

Costa Mesa is putting out a call to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in earning some class credits for community service during the spring.

The city’s Youth in Government program is accepting applications from students living in the city and interested in getting a “behind the scenes” look at various aspects of what makes Costa Mesa work.

Between January and June, students will go on tours through South Coast Plaza, the Mesa Consolidated Water District, the Los Angeles Times building and the Harbor Justice Center courthouse in Newport Beach.
