South Coast Medical Center adopts 10 families
South Coast Medical Center participated in an “Adopt-A-Family” program sponsored by the Laguna Relief & Resource Center. Led by Andrea Kofl, the hospital’s chief operating officer, the hospital adopted 10 families in need of assistance.
The program benefited 33 children in the 10 families from 1 1/2 to 19 years of age.
The families received their gifts on Dec. 22, just in time for Christmas.
In addition to the Adopt-a-Family program, South Coast Medical Center also participates in programs such as Meals on Wheels, student scholarships and blood drives.
Founded in 1959, South Coast Medical Center is a 208-bed facility in Laguna Beach that serves Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano and Aliso Viejo.
