Furniture line’s debut

Founded by Melissa Palazzo and Toni Smith, the hot new design firm Pal + Smith just debuted its first line of fashionable furniture.

At the Pal + Smith showroom in Newport Beach you can see its two collections: Antoinette (inspired by the fashionable Marie Antoinette) and Anthology, a masculine line with a modern and classic look. Both collections take a spin on period antique pieces and infuse colors that pop with exciting juxtapositions.

Pal + Smith is partial to fashion favorite textiles like velvets, patterned silks and leather, and it throws in unexpected glam shades, like chartreuse, electric blue and purple. The collection has an urban flair that combines luxury with practicality.

Some of the pieces play with light and dark, though there are many color options and finishes are offered for each of the pieces in both furniture collections. In the Antoinette Collection, choose from the Zephyr table, Nouveau ottoman, Muse sofa, and vintage inspired Marmont armoire.

The Anthology Collection was created after Palazzo’s husband, Marc, who pointed out the absence of furniture that would appeal to men. The predominant palette of charcoal, black and cognac is laced with vivid hues of yellow and green. Choose from London wing chair, Madison sofa, Tribeca table, Hudson sofa, Chelsea sofa, Bradley chair, and Manor table.

The showroom is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday at 20321 Irvine Ave. For more information, call (888) 725-7684 or go to www.palandsmith.com.
