The annual Lions Surf City Splash & Pier Plaza Pancake Breakfast will begin with breakfast at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Splash at noon, New Year’s Day at Pier Plaza, Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street.
The event will raise funds for the Lions Club project Canine Companions for Independence, as well as other Lions Club charities.
Formerly known as the Pier Plaza Plunge, the Splash gives people the opportunity to wade into the ocean to celebrate the new year.
Certificates will be on sale for participants. There is a $5 suggested donation for the pancake breakfast and a $10 donation for a certificate. For more information, call Lee Love at (714) 349-7706, e-mail [email protected] or visit LionsSurfCitySplash.com.
