POLICE FILES: Fight breaks out after soccer ceremony

Oak Lane: A fight broke out at a children’s soccer awards ceremony in a park on the 17200 block at 12:51 p.m. Sunday.
Location unknown: Someone calling the Police Department from a psychiatric ward of a local hospital claimed they had been kidnapped, and wanted to make sure their dog was being fed, at 7:16 a.m. Sunday.
Location unknown: A woman said her “psychotic” husband chased her with a stick that had a nail sticking out of it at 2:42 a.m. Friday.
AREA 1
Beach Boulevard at Center Avenue: A restaurant employee was hit by a car while riding his bike to work at 8:43 a.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard: Groceries from a 99-cent store were reported stolen from an open vehicle at a restaurant parking lot on the 16500 block at 11:46 a.m. Sunday.
Heil Avenue: A Chrysler 300 limousine was reportedly broken into, with items stolen, on the 4500 block at 1:27 p.m. Sunday.
Silver Lane: Two young men reportedly fought between a church and a school on the 16300 block at 12:48 a.m. Saturday.
Stark Street: Someone reportedly stole aluminum cans that a man had been saving for Christmas money on the 7800 block at 1:23 p.m. Saturday.
Montclair Lane: Someone reportedly left a “fart bomb” package on a doorstep on the 16700 block at 2:59 p.m. Saturday.
Algonquin Street: About $2,000 of carpentry tools were reported stolen from a work site on the 16700 block at 4:28 p.m. Saturday.
Springdale Street: People reportedly spray-painted “white trash” and “small penis” on a new pickup truck on the 15900 block at 7:58 p.m. Saturday.
Trudy Lane: Three men with flashlights were seen on the roof of a school on the 16600 block at 8:36 p.m. Saturday.
Venture Drive: More than $30,000 worth of items including a wedding ring and other diamond jewelry were reported stolen from a bathroom closet on the 3600 block at 10:22 a.m. Friday.
Edinger Avenue: Someone left a restaurant without paying their bill on the 7400 block at 3:56 a.m. Thursday.

Dog Beach: Two surfboards created a traffic hazard in the road at 1:12 p.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard: A possible transient reportedly exited a restaurant bathroom with no pants on, then sat down at a booth, on the 18400 block at 11:47 p.m. Sunday.
Nutwood Circle: Someone attempted to burglarize a vehicle on the 6100 block at 6:48 a.m. Saturday.
Fairfax Lane: A man said a solicitor selling magazines door-to-door spit when he was told no on the 18700 block at 11:57 a.m. Saturday. More than a dozen other callers from other parts of town also mentioned the unpleasant (and illegal) salespeople.
Talbert Avenue: A baseball tournament resulted in people fighting with baseball bats on the 7300 block at 2:21 p.m. Saturday.
Talbert Avenue: Someone reportedly stole a woman’s purse from her unlocked car while she was at a cemetery visiting a grave on the 8300 block at 9:44 a.m. Saturday.

Waterfall Circle: Someone reported an attempted break-in, which turned out to be their girlfriend trying to get her keys back, on the 7900 block at 2:47 a.m. Sunday.
Huntington Beach Pier: Four men, including one in his underwear, were seen running around the pier at 4:22 a.m. Sunday.
Pacific Coast Highway: A man repeatedly jumped into the street and flexed his hips at passing cars on the 300 block at 4:50 a.m. Sunday.
Pacific Coast Highway at Beach Boulevard: Six to 10 Dodge Viper sports cars were seen speeding in and out of traffic at 12:10 p.m. Sunday.
Huntington Beach Pier: A man said a transient reportedly attacked him by ramming his bike into him at 6:18 a.m. Saturday.
Main Street: A man was seen stabbing a tree on the 200 block at 8:47 p.m. Saturday.
Rochester Avenue: A 15-month-old baby reportedly ran into the street, followed by a toddler, followed by a man who swore heavily at the children.

Adams Frontage Road at Cove Circle: More than a dozen people were seen fighting at 1:39 a.m. Sunday.
Port Circle: Someone reportedly brandished a weapon, and someone else was beaten with a stiletto shoe, during and after a party on the 20000 block at 1:46 a.m. Sunday.
Pauline Lane: A woman claimed her boyfriend shoved her and grabbed her around the neck on the 19000 block at 6:15 a.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street: Three bikes were reported stolen from an apartment complex on the 21500 block at 9:31 a.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street: A man said his 80-year-old mother’s house was broken into, with presents stolen and a Christmas tree knocked down, on the 19300 block at 10:03 a.m. Sunday.
Baywood Drive: A cat reportedly was trapped in a neighbor’s garage for five hours on the 8900 block at 9:37 p.m. Sunday.
Sailport Drive: A woman found a burned bag of feces on her doorstep on the 8700 block at 9:07 p.m. Saturday.
Adams Avenue: Two girls were detained after being seen pocketing perfume and other items at a store on the 9800 block at 5:21 p.m. Saturday.

Newland Street at Warner Avenue: A case of battery was reported at 2:57 p.m. Sunday.
Hummingbird Avenue: Grand theft was reported at 10:18 a.m. Saturday.
405 Freeway at Euclid Avenue: A case of battery was reported at 11:44 p.m. Friday.
