Award-winning editorial cartoonist to be at Hilton
Nationally renowned editorial cartoonist Michael Ramirez will speak to the World Affairs Council of Orange County on Dec. 3 at the Hilton Costa Mesa.
For decades Ramirez has been at the forefront of the artistic satire field, winning his first Pulitzer Prize in 1994. He followed it with a repeat performance in 2008, taking American journalism’s highest honor for the second time.
Along with a dinner lecture, Ramirez will be signing copies of his new book, “Everyone has the Right to My Opinion,†a compilation of his cartoons.
The presentation begins at 7 p.m. with a reception at 6 p.m. Tickets to the event cost $75 with discount tickets available for members of the World Affairs Council ($60) and students ($45).
