Pirates open regionals at home vs. Pasadena

The Orange Coast College women’s volleyball team will open the Southern California Regional playoffs at home against Pasadena City College tonight at 7.

The Pirates (18-4) are the No. 8 seed in the regionals, while the Lancers (16-6), tied for second in the South Coast Conference, are the No. 11 seed.

The Pirates finished third in the Orange Empire Conference, winning five of their last six matches to do so, including solid triumphs over Cypress and Golden West College.

The winner advances to meet either L.A. Pierce or Chaffey on Saturday night.
