Christian Scientists Thanksgiving service
Christian Scientists in Laguna Beach invite adults and children of the community to join them in starting their Thanksgiving Day in church. A special Thanksgiving service will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27 in First Church of Christ, Scientist, 635 High Drive, off North Coast Highway above Boat Canyon Shopping Center.
The service will include singing hymns of thanksgiving; readings from the Bible and “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science; and the sharing of gratitude. Also, following a long-standing tradition, the President’s Thanksgiving Proclamation will be read.
Child care will be provided for children too young to attend. Ample free parking is available in church parking lots. All are welcome to attend this no-collection service. For more information, call the Christian Science Reading Room, (949) 494-4503.
