Free holiday card workshop offered

Laguna Outreach for Community Arts is sponsoring a free three-week workshop, conducted by Mada Leach, to create unique holiday cards or small artworks. The workshop will take place from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 3, 10 and 17.

?Dec. 3: Papermaking and paper castings.

?Dec. 10: Paper embellishments, stamping, paste papers, dying methods for rice paper.

?Dec. 17: Card assembly using collage methods.

The class will take place at the Laguna Beach Senior Center, 384 Legion St., lower level. To sign up, call (949) 464-9535.

Two-day driver safety program at center

The AARP driver’s safety seminar, an eight-hour driving refresher course for people older than 50, will be Wednesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Senior Center, 384 Legion St.

The cost is $10 per person, payable to AARP.

Thanksgiving luncheon Nov. 26

A special Thanksgiving luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 26 in the lower level of the Laguna Beach Senior Center, 384 Legion St. Suggested donation is $4 for those 60 and older and $5.50 for those younger than 60. Menu includes: roast turkey and gravy, stuffing, candied yams, green beans, cranberry sauce, sparkling apple cider, dinner roll, and pumpkin pie.

For those joining the “lunch bunch” for the first time, make reservations by calling (949) 497-2702 by noon Nov. 24.

Seniors’ holiday luncheon is Dec. 8

Laguna Beach Seniors will hold its annual holiday luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Tivoli Terrace, on the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach.

A traditional turkey feast will be served, at a cost of $30 per person. Entertainment, prices and opportunity drawing tickets at $1 each will also be provided.

Dinner and bingo with the Assisteens

The Assisteens of Laguna Beach are hosting a special holiday dinner and bingo with special holiday entertainment by the Kyne Dance Academy from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13, in the upper level of the Laguna Beach Senior Center, 384 Legion St. There is no charge. For reservations, call (949) 464-9535.
