POLICE FILES: Man threatens state of California

Warner Avenue: A telecommunications company reported that a customer began threatening the entire state of California by saying he would pour arsenic in the population’s chocolate, after complaining that he didn’t like the company’s pricing, on the 4900 block at 2:02 p.m. Friday.
AREA 1
McFadden Avenue: A $2,500 Fender Stratocaster and Sony digital camera were reported stolen as one of several storage unit break-ins on the 5800 block beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday.
San Clemente Circle: Someone reported their boat was stolen from their residence on the 16200 block at 5:29 p.m. Sunday.
Viewpoint Lane: Someone reported that they woke up to find someone trying to beat them in the head with a golf club and a lamp, then was able to restrain him, on the 16700 block at 4:20 a.m. Saturday.
Saybrook Lane: An elderly woman reportedly wandered around looking for a dog who died months prior on the 16900 block at 4:32 a.m. Saturday.
Winslow Drive: Someone reported that a business associate wrote a false $18,000 check on the 6100 block at 4:27 p.m. Friday.

Ellis Avenue: Someone reported that two people had just broken their front porch light on the 7600 block at 2:11 a.m. Sunday.
Wrenfield Drive: Someone was reportedly doing donuts in their vehicle on a school lawn on the 6600 block at 2:17 a.m. Saturday.
Jacquelyn Lane: A security guard reported that his security trailer was broken into while he was making his rounds on the 17300 block at 10:59 a.m. Saturday.
Beach Boulevard: A motorist reportedly struck a bicyclist on the 18300 block at 12:36 p.m. Saturday.
Ash Street: Two men were reportedly smoking marijuana near the 17200 block at 3:27 p.m. Thursday.
Palm Avenue: A reported burglary caught on video featured a man who entered a golf store by entering a key code, then left with a golf club, on the 6500 block at 9:38 a.m. Thursday.
Warner Avenue: The dead body of a man who appeared to be homeless and apparently died of natural causes was reportedly found behind a fast food restaurant on the 6900 block at 4:45 p.m. Friday.
Beach Boulevard: Someone reportedly possessing two alligators was reported to authorities on the 17400 block at 1:11 a.m. Saturday.
Ambrose Lane: Someone reported that her house was toilet papered, her car was written on with lipstick and her door handles were covered in Vaseline over the past few weeks on the 18700 block at 12:22 p.m. Sunday.
Talbert Avenue at Beach Boulevard: Police shut down Beach Boulevard while nails that reportedly fell off a truck were removed at 8 a.m. Sunday.

Worthy Park: A door on rusty hinges and a large tree were reportedly knocked down by the strong winds at 9:58 a.m. Sunday.
Pine Street: Someone on the 1900 block reported that $24,000 in jewelry was taken from her jewelry box at home while she was in prison at 11:34 a.m. Sunday.
Eighth Street: Someone reported that a group of juveniles skateboarded by and tossed a beheaded teddy bear into their yard on the 300 block at 12:32 p.m. Sunday.
Utica Avenue at Alabama Street: Two men reportedly swung bats at passing vehicles at 1:46 a.m. Saturday.
Huntington Street: Someone reportedly shot a hole through the ceiling of their mobile home in an attempt to scare away a trespasser on the 0 block at 2:18 a.m. Saturday.
Joliet Avenue at Florida Street: Juveniles reportedly stretched tape and aluminum cans to be caught and then dragged by cars that passed by at 7:06 p.m. Saturday.
13th Street: Someone reported a neighbor who uses orange cones to block off a parking space on the public street’s 500 block at 10:27 a.m. Saturday. Police took the cones away.
Main Street: Someone in a trench coat reportedly asked two children if they wanted cigarettes on the 200 block at 4:29 p.m. Thursday.

Brookhurst Street and Hamilton Avenue: Someone reportedly brandished a gun inside their car to intimidate another motorist at 1:47 p.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street: Someone reported that their medical marijuana had been stolen on the 21500 block at 12:42 p.m. Saturday.
Bushard Street at Garfield Avenue: A fallen beehive caused a swarm of bees along a route where children walk to and from school at 3:15 p.m. Friday.
Adams Avenue: A reportedly homeless woman wearing a skirt but no underwear flashed passers-by on the 10000 block at 4:46 p.m. Saturday.
Magnolia Street at Hamilton Avenue: A traffic signal reportedly was damaged by a falling tree during high winds at 10:18 a.m. Sunday.

San Antonio Street at Owl Circle: Vandalism was reported at 4:45 p.m. Sunday.
Edinger Avenue: Someone reportedly brandished a weapon in a public laundry facility on the 11700 block at 6:56 p.m. Sunday.
Recreation Circle: A counterfeit bill was presented at an entertainment facility on the 9000 block at 11:07 a.m. Saturday.
Magnolia Avenue: A shoplifter was brought into custody at a grocery store on the 17000 block at 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Capense Street: Identity theft was reported from a residence on the 18700 block at 9:40 a.m. Friday.

San Mateo Street: A vehicle burglary was reported on the 17100 block at 5:12 p.m. Sunday.
Slater Avenue: Grand theft was reported on the 1200 block at 7:34 a.m. Sunday.
Newhope Street: A burglary was reported at a storage facility on the 17300 block at 12:29 p.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street: Grand theft was reported at several businesses including a hair salon, nail salon and liquor store on the 17400 block beginning at 2:44 p.m. Saturday.
Calera Court: Someone reported finding their residence had been bugged on the 15900 block at 11:06 a.m. Friday.
