Huell Howser features Laguna Beach!

The Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau has worked over the past year with the Orange County Tourism Council on developing a series on Orange County for Huell Howser’s show, California’s Gold. As one of the five cities being featured, the Laguna Beach Visitors Bureau sponsored Huell coming to Laguna Beach to film a show for this popular PBS series. He asked that we focus on the outdoor experience in Laguna Beach. We were also able to touch on our historical heritage as an artist’s village (plein-air painters!) through inclusion of the Laguna Art Museum in the story line. We think you will enjoy seeing our own Pacific Marine Mammal Center, The Nix Nature Center, the tidepools and more. The segment will air this Sunday, November 9th at 7:00p.m., on KCET. Please note that your Visitors Bureau provided a list of suggestions for the hour-long presentation and that Mr. Howser and his staff maintained the creative control of the project and, in the end, which entities would be included in the final edit.
