Sandpiper continued on its winning ways and ran its win streak to five games in the process by defeating Team Hobie, 8-4, in the city of Laguna Beach Community Services Dept.’s 16â€Â slow pitch softball Tuesday League play at Riddle Field.

Ryan Neptune led the Sandpiper (5-0) assault with a three-hit game that included a pair of home runs.

Richard Collins homered and singled and Mike Gayer and Boston Tikasar each had two-hits for second-place Team Hobie (3-2).

Vipers Minions 14, Ganahl Lumber 5: Vipers Minions came up with five home runs to record its first win of the season.

Griffin Corgono accounted for three of those home runs and Joe Lammel homered twice for Vipers Minions (1-4).

Dave Miller had two home runs for Ganahl Lumber (2-3).

? Wednesday League

Hotwings 12, Angels 8: The Hotwings (3-1-1) took control of this battle for first place by scoring eight runs during the third and fourth innings to hold off the Angels (3-2).

Shaun MacGillvray went four for four with a pair of home runs for the Hotwings (3-1-1).

Hamstrings 5, Giraffes 4: The Hamstrings (2-3) mustered only five hits, but they were enough to hold off the fog and Giraffes (2-3).

Vic Ferreria hit a three-run home run for the Hamstrings.
