Want to learn more about the benefits of a green lifestyle? Attend The CAMP’s second annual Greenology festival Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.

The free event features green vendors, arts and crafts for kids, how-to workshops, live music and inspiring speakers.

The CAMP has partnered with some of the most respected eco-friendly retailers, services, organizations and individuals in a collective effort to encourage natural, organic and sustainable alternatives.

At noon, Jenny Ross, owner of 118 Degrees raw foods, will speak about making green foods for the holidays.

At 1:30 p.m., Evan Little, Orange County’s expert eco broker, will speak about the current state of green real estate and why to invest in greening your home.

At 3 p.m., Rachel Hulan, principal of Path Design, will share green remodeling basics for your home and tips on how to keep your home as healthy as possible. You can also enjoy live musical performances from Alec Bridges and Lex Land throughout the day.

Free food and drink include organic fruits from Morning Song Farm; homemade granola from Old Vine Cafe; organic loose-leaf teas, and super foods and treats from 118 Degrees raw foods; Sambazon organic smoothies and juices; Guayaki beverages; and Genesis healthy juice drink and purified water from Symmetry.

Attend various how-to workshops and receive a free eco-friendly car wash for the first five hybrid or electric cars from Pronto Wash.

RESORT SET TO OPEN

The long-awaited Resort at Pelican Hill at Newport Coast will open on the eve of Thanksgiving. It’s the perfect place to celebrate the long holiday weekend — it’s luxurious and local. The Villa Stay includes accommodations in a two-bedroom villa and a three-course seasonal chef dinner menu prepared for four at the Coliseum Pool & Grill. For guests checking in Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas, a special feast for four prepared by Chef Chang Sivilay at the Coliseum restaurant will be served.

The two-, three- and four-bedroom villas range from 2,193 square feet to 3,581 square feet. An elegant clubhouse and pool are available for Villa guests only. The villa stay costs $995 per night for four people.
