The Surf City Slammers, a newly formed team mainly of players from South Huntington Beach Girls Fastpitch Softball league, won all five of their games last weekend to win the 12-and-Under division title at the OC Dynasty Hallowfest Tournament in Fullerton.
The two-day tournament was played Saturday and Sunday at Valencia Park.
The Slammers ripped the opposition.
In pool play, they beat Madness (Inland Empire), 15-0, and OC Batbusters, 1-0 and played Corona Express to a scoreless tie on Saturday. In pool play Sunday, they again rolled past Madness, winning the rematch, 8-0, then beat the OC Batbusters, 2-0, in the title game.

Mudcats 3, Penguins 2: Robert Razo scored off an assist from Jason Russell with 4:56 to play to break a tie and send the Mudcats past the Penguins.
Cole Obenauer scored the first two goals for the Mudcats and Trenton Buyan recorded 28 saves.
Easton Laird scored both goals for the Penguins and Matthew Gomez had eight saves.
