A fire in a laundry room at Big Canyon Country Club early Monday caused about $60,000 in damage, a fire official said Tuesday.
Newport Beach firefighters responded to a report of a blaze at the country club at 1 Big Canyon Drive about 1:30 a.m. Monday, said fire department spokeswoman Jennifer Schultz.
“When fire crews got there, there was just smoke, and they quickly put it out,” Schultz said.
No one was injured in the fire, Schultz said. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the blaze, she said.
