Local club hoops team seeks new players

Team Neighbor, a Huntington Beach-based girls’ basketball team, is looking to add players in grades sixth, seventh and eighth to its ranks.

Team Neighbor will play in the National Junior Basketball All-Net fall and winter league seasons, in addition to competing in tournament play.

Practices are from 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays, and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Marine View Middle School gymnasium. Interested players can call (714) 846-9076.

Basketball sign ups begin Sunday

Pacific Coast Hoops is signing up players, coaches and volunteers for its upcoming season. Registration times and dates are Sept. 21 and 28. The times for all three of those registration dates are as follows: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ocean View and from 2 to 4 p.m. at Edison.
