Decapitated lamb found in plastic bag in Harbour

A decapitated lamb wrapped in a bra turned up in Huntington Harbour this week, according to authorities.

Orange County Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol deputies responded to a report of an animal wrapped in a black plastic bag and floating in the water at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sgt. Fritz von Rettberg said.

It was the first incident of its kind that Rettberg said he had heard of, but he added that the evidence was being sent to Huntington Beach police. There is a crime to be investigated, he said.

“It’s a cruelty to animals incident,” he said. “The deputy did write a report and forwarded it to Huntington Beach police to see if they have any similar sightings.”
