Police are still searching for the man who robbed a Downey Savings bank this week in Huntington Beach.

The suspect – dubbed the “Assistant Coach Bandit†by the FBI for his habit of wearing baseball caps and sunglasses during his robberies – has been seen in at least three other bank robberies over the past several months, police said. Two were in Anaheim, and one was in Tustin, according to authorities.

On Wednesday, a heavyset man in dark sunglasses, a red baseball cap, white T-shirt and blue jean shorts walked into the Downey Savings Bank at Brookhurst Street and Adams Avenue, handed the suspect a threatening note and asked for cash, police said.
