ART FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

FRIDAY

?Noon to 3 p.m., “Through Artists’ Eyes “” Unique Perspectives Created by Exhibiting Artists.” Working from the same model, several artists create works of art in their particular style and medium.

Among the offerings are Venetian mask painting, creating a birdhouse, scratchboard art, mask making, palette knife painting and painting animals with acrylics.

Art-A-Fair is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, at 777 Laguna Canyon Road. ?Art To Go Auction, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., live silent auction of 70 works of art, supports the Artists Fund which helps artists in time of financial need. A wide range of artwork will be for sale starting at 30% off retail value. Highlighting the auction will be a personal portrait by Lorenzo.

?Summer Jazz Concert Series, 1 to 3:30 p.m. Chris Standring. Standring’s music is a soulful 1960s-style jazz guitar combined with modern, electronically backed material.

?The Art of Cooking, 1 to 2 p.m. David Lawrence is a Beverly Hills private chef, caterer and author. He recently wrote “Boy Eats World! A Private Chef Cooks Simple Gourmet.” The book features 150 fun and easy recipes, helpful hints and simple directions for cooking.

?Art, Jazz, Wine and Chocolate Series, 5 to 8 p.m., with the Tony Guerrero Band. Guests will enjoy different pairings of Kendall to Jackson wines and Downey chocolates while listening to live jazz music. $12 fee for the chocolate and wine in addition to the general Festival of Arts admission. Must be 21 years or older.
