Baseball camp today at Ocean View

A baseball camp for incoming freshmen, as well as sophomores, begins today at Ocean View High.

The camp continues through Wednesday with future dates of July 10, 11 and 12 also set. The camps includes instructional work-outs and games against other schools. The is $100 per person.

Next Edison baseball camp is Tuesday

The next Edison Baseball Little League Camp is Tuesday at the Edison High varsity field.

The camp, run by Chargers Coach Steve Lambright and his staff, is open to youth ages 6 to 13. Instruction will take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost is $125 per player, and campers should bring their own baseball gear.

The last of four camp dates is July 8, also from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Edison fields.

Club soccer team seeks new players

The North Huntington Beach Soccer Club’s girls’ under-15 Silver/Bronze team is looking to add two or three new players to its roster.

Team practices and matches are held at Hope View School in Huntington Beach.

West Football Camp returns July 26

West Football Camp will stage its next camp July 26-27 at Edison High.

The preseason speed and fundamentals camp will instruct local youth ages 6 to 14 in running mechanics, speed development, skills, agility and ply metrics.

Both one-on-one and seven-on-seven tournaments will take place during the camp.
