Biology professor to ID insects on train tour

Costa Mesa residents can board an environmentally friendly train next week when the Tour and Train Ride of Fairview Park takes visitors on a trip to learn about the insects that inhabit the park.

Bob “Bug” Allen, biology professor at Santa Ana and Irvine Valley colleges, will take residents on the 90-minute tour to identify the insects throughout the park.

The ride will be at 3:30 p.m. June 28. Guests should meet at the picnic shelter at the park’s westerly side.
