Have your name be a part of Jim Scott Stadium
Those who want to forever be a part of Jim Scott Stadium now have their chance.
Individuals and families can donate $100 to Costa Mesa United and get a personalized brick displayed at the stadium placed near the entry way.
The stadium, which serves both Estancia High School and Costa Mesa High School, plans to lay the bricks in the Fall of 2008.
Those interested in ordering their brick must do so by the June 1 deadline. For more information, go to www.costamesaunited.com or call John Ursini of the Newport Rib Company at (949) 631-2110.
Costa Mesa United is a non-profit organization that works toward helping youth athletics and athletic facilities in Costa Mesa.
The group — whose president emeritus is Jim Scott Sr., for whom the stadium is named — advocated heavily for the construction of Jim Scott Stadium.
