It was a gray, drizzly and windy Friday, but that looks to be the worst of it, according to the National Weather Service.

There’s a 30% chance of rain today and Sunday, with highs in the mid-60s. Any rain today is expected to come in the afternoon with light winds.

Sunday should be a bit warmer, but much windier — up to 25 mph. The kick-off to summer looks to be mostly clear and sunny at best. The rain will likely produce some runoff that will make it poor water quality at the beach. Surfline.com predicts strong rip currents and 2- to 3-foot waves.

By Memorial Day the temperature is supposed to climb to almost the 70s with little chance of rain. By mid-week it should be back to typical Southern California weather — sunny and in the 70s.
