Congratulations, scholars.
Well done.
Thirty-two students from Newport Harbor High and Corona del Mar High were honored at the 2008 Academic All Stars breakfast held for the top scholars — and community activists — at the two schools.
Normally, 15 students are recognized. This year, 32 were named because of a tie in the academic standings.
That says a lot.
Because, while history shows that it doesn’t take a village to raise a scholar, a solid support system sure helps.
So thumbs up, as well, to the parents and educators involved with the elite 32.
Who knows how many more achievements and good deeds the future holds? We can’t wait to see.
