Auction, dinner to help students attend Grad Night

Parents of students at Costa Mesa High School are trying to make Grad Night — the celebratory trip students enjoy after graduation — affordable for all.

Grad Night trips can be expensive, making it difficult for some students whose families are on a budget to manage the ticket.

But the school’s Parent Teacher Student Assn. is hosting a Grad Night silent auction and dinner from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Halecrest Park in Costa Mesa. Proceeds will be used to help students who can’t afford the Grad Night fun.

There will be a raffle for a four-day Mexican Rivera cruise, as well as a silent auction featuring items donated by local businesses, such as Old Vine Cafe, In-N-Out, yoga classes and others.

Dinner and dessert will be provided by Daily Grill and The Corner Bakery.

Tickets are $15 per person and $25 for two. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
