Bill Clinton critic to speak at Balboa Bay Club Saturday

Best-selling author and Clinton administration critic Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson will speak at a breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Balboa Bay Club.

Patterson is the author of “Dereliction of Duty: The Eyewitness Account of How Bill Clinton Compromised America’s National Security,” and “Reckless Disregard: How Liberal Democrats Undercut Our Military, Endanger our Soldiers, and Jeopardize Our Security.” His most recent book is “War Crimes: The Left’s Campaign to Destroy Our Military and Lose the War on Terror.”

Patterson was the senior military aide to President Bill Clinton from 1996 to 1998.

During that time he was responsible for the president’s emergency satchel, otherwise known as the “Nuclear Football,” the black bag with documents detailing the nation’s nuclear capability that accompanies the president at all times.
