OCC choir to honor late musical director

OCC Choir Alumni will celebrate the life of former director Richard Raub at a reunion concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at OCC’s Robert Moore Theatre.

Raub was the director of OCC’s Chorale and Chamber Singers from 1970 to 1993. He died of lymphoma Oct. 5.

“The Legacy Lives On” invites all former students of Raub to attend. Alvin Brightbill will direct the concert, which will have a reception after the event. Brightbill worked at Saddleback College’s music department for 30 years and is now retired.

There will be a memorial service for Raub at 11 a.m. Saturday at Spurgeon Methodist Church, where Raub also spent some time working.
