The 10th anniversary of the First Thursdays Art Walk will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Free shuttle service starts from the Laguna Art Museum and Bluebird Center at 6:15 p.m. and runs until 8:45 p.m.
An anniversary party will be from 9 to 10:30 p.m. with live music, performances and refreshments. The party is by invitation only; e-mail events@firstthursdays artwalk.com. In addition, the city will dedicate a new piece of public art, “Laguna Locals” by Terry Thornsley, at 5 p.m. in Crescent Bay Point Park. A reception will follow at Laguna Art Museum.

Sample events:
?[seven-degrees] gallery, 891 Laguna Canyon Road, will present Japanese artist Kenji Kawai’s “Human Maze,” in collaboration with Polish musician Bal.
?Lu Martin Galleries, 372 N. Coast Hwy., will hold an artist reception featuring Armenak Karapetian.
?Marion Meyer Contemporary Art, 354 N. Coast Hwy., will hold an artist reception for the “Winter Blue” group show.
?Sandstone Gallery, 384A N. Coast Hwy., will hold an opening reception for “Freedom of the Press,” new monotypes by Anne Moore; also showing jewelry by Gretchen Shields and paintings by Katarina Ljubinkovic Zorkic.
?Studio 7 Gallery’s two locations at 384B N. Coast Hwy. and 1590 S. Coast Hwy. will feature oil painting demos by Laguna plein air artists Eagle, Uchizono, Weiderman and Wodark with guitar music.
?Whitney Gallery, 350 N. Coast Hwy., will hold a wine reception featuring “Live!,” Bradford J. Salamon’s original portrait paintings.
?The Crystal Image, 225 Forest Ave., will feature local musicians beside gem and stone arts.
?DeRu’s Fine Arts, 1590 S. Coast Hwy., will hold a reception for their new show, “Beauty & Light,” where early California Impressionists paint their views of California and beyond. Contemporary California artist David Chapple will be in attendance, with live music and refreshments.
?Townley Fine Art, 1294-D S. Coast Hwy., will hold a closing reception for Shane Townley’s Digital Dream series, which combines today’s technology and traditional techniques.
