Adopted Army company comes home this month

Costa Mesa is encouraging people to write letters and cards to welcome back the Army company it adopted last year.
To celebrate this month’s return of D Company, 2-25 Aviation Regiment, to its base in Hawaii, the city will send a package including a “thank you” banner and letter of appreciation from the City Council.
City workers and community volunteers sent several shipments of gifts and personal items to the unit during its deployment. Information on D Company is available at www.ci.costa-mesa.ca.us.
Letters can be dropped off at City Hall or mailed to Carol Proctor in the city manager’s office, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92628. The letter deadline is Nov. 7.
