Newport to vote on spending money on survey

The Newport Beach City Council will decide Tuesday whether to spend $19,855 on a survey of residents’ satisfaction with city services. Consultant Phil Batchelor helped city officials figure out what kind of survey they want to conduct and choose among the seven firms that made proposals to do the survey.

ETC Institute is the firm recommended to do the survey, which will help the council determine how to improve city services, deliver them more efficiently and create ways to measure the city’s performance.

The Newport Beach City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 3300 Newport Blvd. To see the agenda or view the meeting online, visit www.city.newport-beach.ca.us/ councilagendas.html.
