Kent another ex-Pirate still playing volleyball

Kissa Kent, who helped the Orange Coast College women’s volleyball team win back-to-back state championships the past two seasons, has moved on to play at Kansas Wesleyan University, Pirates Coach Chuck Cutenese said.
Kent was a reserve defensive specialist who collected 115 digs, fifth-most on the team.
In her two seasons at OCC, Kent had 215 digs and helped the Pirates to a 51-2 record.
Kent becomes the fifth player from last year’s OCC squad to receive a scholarship to compete at a four-year school. Joanna Johnson (Alaska-Anchorage), Ashlee Moon (Florida State), Eva Johnson (Hawaii Pacific) and freshman Chelsea Spadaro (Hawaii-Hilo) round out that list.
