Merchants are being warned about a trio of shoplifters who attempted to “boost” $678.12 worth of board shorts from the Quiksilver shop in downtown Laguna Beach on July 13.
A clerk saw the suspects allegedly placing 11 pairs of the shorts into a “booster bag,” a bag that is specially designed to hide stolen items and thwart security devices.
The suspects fled and left the bag behind.
The suspects are described as two Hispanic men, one with a shaved head, 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing a dark brown shirt; the other was 6 feet tall, wearing a green American eagle shirt and tan shorts.
The third suspect was a female, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, with dark hair.
Anyone with information or questions regarding the incident may contact Laguna Beach Police Det. Debbie Kelso at (949) 497-0371 or Sgt. Darin Lenyi at (949) 497-0375.
