Breakers roll to Norris title

The Breakers capped their postseason run by winning the Norris Division championship, blanking the Stars in the final, 4-0, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Chris Pabitzky scored twice with an assist and Nolan Strout and Owen Osborne also scored. Ian Gibbons, Mackie Albertson and Ethan Michaelis also recorded assists.

Jesse Mellma had 19 saves.

Blake Miller had 20 saves for the Stars.

Lemieux Division

Wings 6, Stealth 4

A three-goal differential in the second period proved to be the difference for the Wings in their win over Stealth.

Alex Litten and Kyle Betz both scored twice and Eric Grant and Robert Oliver each scored once.

Litten and Oliver also had a team-high two assists each.

Ryan Harrison recorded 21 saves.

Stealth’s offense included two goals by Derek Siegmann, one each by Adam Siegmann and Blake Siegmann, two assists by Garrett Haar and one assist for Jacob Corwin.

Corey Jones had 23 saves.

Jr. High Division

In The Mix 7, Marine View 5

In The Mix outscored Marine View, 3-1, in an overtime shootout to win the title.

Casidhe Kunichika, Zachary Beko and Jordan Sanders scored in the shootout for In The Mix. Sanders finished with a match-best four goals and Beko scored twice overall. Dylan Rodriguez was tops in assists with a pair.

Joshua Fowler had 31 saves.

Marine View’s scoring consisted of two goals by Mitch Robinson and one each by Colby Rios and Connor Cal Lathrope. Zane Weber, Erik Jervik and Luke Loggins each had an assist and Jack Miller recorded 20 saves.

Mite Club Division

Blades White 6, WCR 2

Goals by Haley Sanders and Jonathan Pichedwatana sandwiched four-straight goals by Christopher Kao, as Blades White scored the final five goals to defeat WCR.

Sanders and Pichedwatana each also had two assists and Andrew Huffman had one assist. Jake Grothjan had 16 saves.

Sean McDaniel and Slater Hoar each had a goal and assist for WCR. Ethan Higbee had 26 saves.

Atom Division

C2C Predators 6, Blades 99 5

Joe Gibb scored the second of his two goals in overtime to lift the Predators past the Blades.

Alec Lang also had two goals for the Predators, Trenton Shehan and Tyler Wilford both scored once and Braeden Stack and Jake Shaylor each had an assist.

Tyler Gealy recorded 28 saves.

Cooper Haar scored the middle three goals for the Blades whose first goal was scored by Casey Rhodes and final goal by Brett Rudy. Rhodes also had an assist and Cole Kennedy had 25 saves.
